PhilanthroPig is a safe, easy and effective way for nonprofits to turn donors into advocates and dramatically expand their fundraising reach and results. You will have the ability to create and operate your own PhilanthroPig site without incurring any setup or monthly fees. People will have the ability to donate to your organization online with PhilanthroPig’s interactive, highly customizable widgets for use on your blog, Web site, and more than 200 social networking sites and Twitter. PhilanthroPig lets your supporters create their own personalized versions of your online fundraising page and then use their Facebook, MySpace or Twitter accounts to ask friends, family and followers to also make contributions.
What is the Philanthropy First Foundation?
The Philanthropy First Foundation is a tax-exempt, nonprofit, charitable 501(c)(3) organization that works partially as a donor advised fund. Philanthropy First Foundation receives and re-grants the donation funds to your designated charity or charities.

How are donations processed?
Answer: Donations are processed through the PhilanthroPig platform by Philanthropy First Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit, charitable 501(c)(3) organization that works partially as a donor advised fund. Philanthropy First Foundation, Inc. receives the donations made through PhilanthroPig and re-grants the donation funds to your designated charity(ies). Philanthropy First Foundation will transfer the funds to the charity, less processing and maintenance fees, within 10 business days.
Will PhilanthroPig send charitable contribution receipts to our donors?
Answer: Yes. Each contribution will receive a charitable contribution receipt from the Philanthropy First Foundation. Philanthropy First Foundation receives the donations made through PhilanthroPig and re-grants the donation funds to your designated charity(ies).
What are the requirements to set up a PhilanthroPig Account?
Answer: To open a PhilanthroPig organization account, you must currently be a tax-exempt, charitable, 501(c)(3) organization as recognized by the IRS.
How long does the process take to set up a PhilanthroPig Account?
Answer: Before a charity can begin accepting donations, it must be fully vetted by the Philanthropy First Foundation and the PhilanthroPig Platform and deemed to be a valid public charitable organization recognized as exempt from federal income tax under 5-1(c) (3) of the tax code. We take identity verification of an organization seriously. During, and after, the vetting period, charities are eligible to design their own PhilanthroPig site. Once your charity is approved, and you have created your site, you can begin accepting donations.
How does a Charity register to create a PhilanthroPig Account?

How is our PhilanthroPig site created?
Answer: Each charity is responsible for creating its own PhilanthroPig site. This can be done through the administration page on the charities PhilanthroPig account.
Are we responsible for administering our own site?
Answer: Yes. When registering for an account with PhilanthroPig you must designate an administrator for your site. They will be responsible for creating the content and monitoring the site.
Will PhilanthroPig provide customer support for our site?
Answer: PhilanthroPig will provide direct support only to the Administrators of the site. We will not be responsible for providing support to donors of the site with questions in regards to the charity.
How do contributors make donations?
Answer: Contributors can go to your PhilanthroPig site and make a donation directly from your site. Donations can be made through Credit Card or ACH transaction from an existing checking or savings account.
In what forms can contributions be made?
Answer: Contributions can be made by credit card or an ACH transfer from an existing checking or savings account.
What are the fees associated with PhilanthroPig?
Answer: PhilanthroPig is very cost effective. There are no setup fees, monthly fees, or customization fees. The current processing fee on every donation made through the Site is 4.5% of the total donation, and the current, standard website maintenance fee is $.95 for each donation made through the Site (collectively "Transaction Fees").
Will PhilanthroPig provide us with contribution reporting analysis?
Answer: PhilanthroPig will provide organizations with integrated analysis and reporting tools telling you who is donating, how much, current trends and much, much more so you can adjust strategy, capitalize on opportunities and make each fundraising campaign more effective than the one before.
How long will donations take to reach our bank account?
Answer: Philanthropy First Foundation will transfer the funds to the charity, less processing and maintenance fees, within 10 business days. The 10 day wait is necessary for properly processing and vetting of the transactions coming in via ACH, or bank accounts.
Are we able to close a PhilanthroPig account at any time or is there a time length requirement?
Answer: You have the ability to raise funds for as long as you would like.
Can individual fundraisers sign up on our site to raise funds on our behalf?
Answer: Yes. In order to raise funds on your behalf they must first be approved by the administrator of the charity.
What are the requirements to be an individual fundraiser on behalf of a charity?
Answer: To fundraise on behalf of an existing organization, you must provide your name, physical address, phone number and email address. Before the charity can accept donations made through you, the administrator of the charity must approve you as a fundraiser.
Can I be an individual fundraiser for more than one charity affiliated with PhilanthroPig?
Answer: Yes. As long as you have been approved by the administrator of each charity, you can raise money for as many charities as you want.
